Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 20 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years (as on 01.01.2026)

Age Relaxation Rules

• SC/ST candidates: up to 5 years
• OBC (non-creamy layer): up to 3 years
• PwBD: 10–15 years depending on category
• Ex-servicemen: up to 5 years

RRB Section Controller Exam Pattern

The selection process includes:

Computer Based Test (CBT) –

• 100 questions, 120 minutes
• Analytical & Mathematical Ability
• Logical Reasoning
• Mental Reasoning
• Reading Comprehension
• Note: 1/3rd negative marking is applicable.

Computer Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) –

Candidates shortlisted from CBT (8 times the vacancies) will appear. To qualify, a minimum T-score of 42 in each test battery is required.
